I used the P2KTools to increase the gain on my earpiece to "3" and the
volume is now good. However, now when I put the phone into "Silent" mode,
it vibrates instead of being silent. Everything else seems to work fine.
Anything that can be done here?
Also, in P2KTools there under TOOLS and RING STYLES, there are two
options......
All Silent
All Vibro
I thought I was adding more vibrating options and so I clicked "All Vibro."
Nothing seemed to happen.

Re: Increased volume on V3 now phone vibrates
Sorry for repeating posts, but I plodded through and fixed the problem. I
set all volumes back to normal, then did a master reset. Afterwards I
carefully used P2KTools to up the earpiece gain then got the heck out of
there without touching anything else. All Ringtones and Silent modes are
now working with great earpiece volume.
Does increasing the gain on the earpiece volume reduce battery life? Most
often I will now be using the volume at a lower setting. Usually around 4
instead of 6 or 7 and only temporarily use higher setting in very noisy
environments.

Re: Increased volume on V3 now phone vibrates
Jimmy, When you selected "All Vibro" something did indeed happen: All ring
styles, INCLUDING Silent, were set to vibrate. All Vibro simply means that
ALL styles vibrate.
Regarding your ringtone question, the best thing is to make your own using
snippets from your favorite CDs or MP3s. Use Mobile Phone Tools to create
and transfer

Re: Increased volume on V3 now phone vibrates
You know how each profile has a details option. Under Loud you have loud
details, and soft has soft details. Well, Silent also has a details screen
but its hidden so you can't set things under it to something other than
silent, but clicking the all vibe option changed all events to vibrate in
every profile ( loud soft , vibrate, vib and ring, silent, etc) You should go
back into p2ktools and click the all silent option. Then go into each
profile (loud, soft, etc) and set up the tone you'd like for each event.
Those two options are just for recovering the phone from certain error
states.
There's also a SEEM edit you could do to enable the details option for the
silent mode then you can get access to it the details menu to change each
event manually. By events I mean (Voice call, Data call, Text message, Fax
call, etc)
You can enable several new vibrate modes such as pulse, but that's found on
the Other Features tab and under the Alerts section.
