New Flash for v3 is best yet!

There is a new Flash available for the v3 at www.motomodders.net. It's
R374_G_0E.42.08R (select the file with "old icons" unless you use
Vodaphone).
Improvements over 41.C3R & even 42.07R_A:
-Even more free memory
-Better camera resolution
-Better battery life

You say more memory? I have not seen any mention of that or better batery. Since it was just ripped a day or two ago, how did you test bettery life? Or you just reporteing what others have posted? I see you used the old icons. Did you try the vodophone ones? You don't have to use vodaphone, these flashes where just ripped from a vod MP. All three versions posted will work. The vod icons are kinda kewl.

Didn't realize you had 08 yesterday. We're a little slow here in Hawaii.

If he uses Bluetooth, or is a heavy talk user, he could easily have run
through a battery in a day and a half, no?

Well the camera and memory are directly observable and the battery life
seems to match what others were saying. I have the UConnect BT feature
in my car that really burns a battery fast as it remains connected the
whole time the car is running. Usually I have to plug it into the car
charger or it'll die quickly but it made it through the afternoon. When
I got home I upgraded to the new 1700mah battery that just arrived so
now I'm giving that a workout. Took it for a half hour drive and made a
bunch of BT calls, played a half hour of Java games (Su-Do-Ku is
addictive!) and still have 3 bars. Between the flash and the new battery
it is very nice.

Bruce, these where actually released on 8/24 at the same time as 07R, but they where vodo branded and in MP. We had to wait for someone to rip the flash from the MP.

You might want to check over there every now and then. You never know when those 'insiders' might post something.

No memory increase for me. From reports I have seen so far, not many users are reporting a mem increase. Everything else looks pretty much the same to me, but I just snuck out of work, made the hour round trip to the house and flashed in barely over an hour! lol Just snuck back in and havn't checked everything yet. If you have done the seem update for video 'styles' to actually work, there is still a random freezing bug when using a different style. For most, the 'styles' options have been in the video settings before this flash, but when you changed the setting it had no affect. Now that this first seem has been found, the settings actually work, but there seems to be a bit setting that still hasn't been found that's causing the freeze. So far it looks like a conflict with having the styles in pics and video on together. The quality setting change confirmation message still remains also. Other than that things seem a tad quicker. I havn't tested everything else yet. If you want a different look, you really should try the vodo version just to check it out, it's kinda neet and has some very nice new icons. You can always flash right back to the old icon version.

Thanks for that URL, didn't know about it. I got no memory increase from
the previous flashes I did but finally saw some with this one. I may try
the other flashes to see the icons I but read that they were Vodaphone
branded so I didn't check it out. I'm waiting for the dust to settle
before trying the styles seems as I don't think I'd use them anyway.

It's not difficult at all but read the Noob guides at
www.motomodders.net and the excellent tutorial at www.motox.us. Be sure
to download the Keypad_Fix_Flex from motox as you will likely need it
after flashing the first time.
