Well, I knew that I would drop the phone at some point, as seems to happen
with every new cell phone that I buy.
I was carrying my Motorola V3 phone in my breast pocket, and dropped some
papers. As I gathered them, the phone fell out of the pocket onto a hardwood
floor. It fell only a little more than 1 foot, I would say.
I realise that I am being a bit jumpy about taking care of the phone, since
I just bought it. But, just to allay my fears, is there any possibility of
damage to the phone or any way to check?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Dropped V3 Razr
Dropping the phone 1 ft shouldn't cause any damage beyond a scrtch or a
scuff. The best way to determine if it was damaged would be to turn it
on and see if it works. If everything works fine then it was not
damaged. Remember: If it ain't broke, don't fix it - MOD IT!

Don't fret. If it turns on and the keys and screen workit's fine. I have dropped mine many times
onto concrete from as high as 4 feet. It still works perfectly. sometimes it turns off but it turns
back on no problem. These phones are a lot tougher than they look.

re:Dropped V3 Razr
I was enjoying not one but several helpings of the old electric soup
in an underground vodka bar in Murmansk, which is my favourite city
in the whole wide world. Though it's not the same now they've got
electricity, hot water and such like. I much preferred it when I
could cower alone and shivering in my dank flat above the railway
tracks that ran all the way to Khabarovsk, screaming at the ghosts
that tried to attack me down the telephone line. But goddammit, the
stories I could tell about the women there! Phew-ee! They'll blow
your mind. And not just your mind, if you know what I mean
