RAZ v3 phonebook question

is there a way of hiding the phone numbers/contacts that are on the sim card
and just displaying those that are actually on the phone, because i have
duplicate entrys in the phone book otherwise?

If you dont want duplicates, either delete the numbers off of the sim or the phone. Or save all numbers to the phone but save them into a different categorie other than "general'. By default all numbers saved on the sim are stored into this cat. So if you save the ones on your phone into a different cat. then select to only view that cat, you won't have dups. Numbers stored on the sim won't give you a full set of options and there is really no need to have your numbers on the phone and the sim anyway. I know, it's a moto thing!

If all you new guys will read Lords guide, it will help you with all of these basic questions....

21 ) Q: i have contacts on my sim card and i copied all of them to my phone. now it's showing double entries for all of my contacts. wot can i do?

A: thanks to the 'talented' moto techies, we are unable to tell the phone to show only 1 type of entries (let it be sim entries or phone entries). so there're 2 things u can do to work around this. either
1) delete all of the contacts from sim/phone (it's easier to delete with MPT. just click and delete, instead of deleting them one by one from the phone. one thing to note is that if the contacts are stored on sim instead of phone, u will not be able to use picture id's for those contacts), or
2) put all sim's contacts under one category (personal, for example) and phone's contacts under another (general, for example), and tell the phone to only display one of the categories.
