    I read somewhere that if you resize an image before transferring it, the
    quality looks better... Anyone know exactly what that specification is?

    Much depends on what you want to do. Many phones can handle larger images,
    and are even able to zoom in. But if all you want is wallpaper or phonebook
    picture, your smaller size (or even smaller for phonebook pictures: 80x80) is
    the way to go.
