I just picked up a black Razr with Cingular. My only previous cellphones
were all with Verizon so bluetooth and GSM is all new to me. I would like to
know if it is possible to transfer ringtones and pictures between my PC and
the Razr? I would also like to be able to input Contacts into the phone via
my PC keyboard. What software would I need to do all this? I have seen
mobile phone tools talked about on this group. Is that the same as Motorola
Mobile Phone Tools? Is it available in stores and online? I also have two
USB cables that came with a Nikon digital camera that have the same
connector as the Razr. Can I use this cable or is the pin-out different for
the cable that one can buy with Motorola MPT? Sorry if I was long-winded.
Thanks for any info you can provide...Mel

MPT will do the trick. You can buy it from Cingular, Motorola, BVRP or
on ebay (cheapest). Your cable will be fine.

Bruce,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I think it's great to finally be able to import ringtones to my cellphone
directly from my PC.
With Verizon I pretty much had to pay mms fees (or hack the phone) to send
myself ringtones.
