can someone please help me clone my brick phone?

I would like to have my cell # in my van on my brick phone
and use a small phone for everyday use. I would also like
to buy a small phone too... package deal?

My phone is an 'ultraclassic' brick phone. I used to have it
cloned a long time ago but lost the 'cloned' phone.

    thanks

    Re: Clone Brick Phone?

If I only use one phone at a time who cares? It's my phone #...

how can they 'detect' that? I pay enough for my phone bill and would
    like
some convinience and ability to use a phone that actually has good
    reception
sometimes (brick phone!) unlike all these junk small phones. Anyways,
    does
    anyone have any ideas?

It's against FCC regulations to change the ESN in a phone, even among
    your own phones.

Leaving that detail aside, from a technical perspective, one way they
can detect clones is via "RF fingerprinting". This is where they analyze
    the waveform of the signal generated by the transmitter on the phone;
apparently there are idiosyncrasies in each individual device in how the
signal looks when it is being turned on and off, and in how the
modulation is done, due to slight differences in the components.

Another technique is the A-Key: all but the very oldest analog phones
have something called an A-Key (Authentication Key) where the system can
do a cryptographic challenge to the phone.
