noobie seeking info on razr

hi,
i'm buying razr this week and just want to know if this would be possible.

razr has mini usb port.
if i custom build or buy a mini usb to usb slot cord (meaning that i
could connect the mini usb to the cellphone and in the other end a usb
stick) could i play movies and mp3 from the usb stick?

I haven't seen any hacks that would allow that as the v3 doesn't have
drivers to support an external drive. Post your question at
www.motomodders.net and you may get a better answer.

Interesting idea, but like BruceR says, doubt it.
If you want a phone with more memory, why don't you get the V635, right now
it has 512mb cards, and the 1g microSDs come out at the end of the year,
with 2giggers coming next year

Waste of money, if you ask me. The RAZR uses the same software as the V600,
so it's pretty old. The V635 has an updated version of that software, and
is a more capable phone, going by the specs.

V635 also has a memory card slot, so you could dump MP3s onto that, and use
the phone's built-in MP3 player to listen to them.
