motorola V300/Hello Moto/cell phone

I have a motorola V300/ Hello Moto cell phone that has been deactivated due to failure to pay monthly bill. I would like to activate this phone as I have poor credit and having a hard time just finding a plan without purchasing a new phone/ I love this phone and do not wish to have to buy another. I would rather buy the prepaid phone cards. Can anyone help me

All that's been deactivated is the SIM (the little card in the phone), not the
phone itself. If the phone is locked to the carrier, then it will only work
with (active) SIMs from that same carrier unless you get it unlocked, either
by the carrier or by a third-party unlocking service. If unlocked, it will
work with (active) SIMs from any other GSM carrier.
