Motorola E398: Mssg notice is disgusting

I have recently owned a new E398 however there one is most annoying feature
.. i.e Each time a mssg is sent and alerted to me -it is that "human grunt/
blurp/fart"
sound and I find most embarrasing.
Can someone helped me to changed or delete this sound.

Perhaps if you take the phone out of your rear that sound wont happen ??

I think the E398 was released as a MTV special with all sorts of noises to
appeal to teenagers. Whatever - I haven't seen one but try this

Main Menu / Settings / Ring Styles /

You should see Style: followed by your current setting eg Loud, Soft,
Vibrate etc.
Suppose its Style: Loud
Go to Loud Detail on the next line and select Change on the right soft key
Select the Messages: sound and change it to something more normal.

You might want to experiment with some of the other settings as well.

Don't do this where you need to be quiet - scrolling through the list of all
the sounds can irritate others!
