Was wondering, who here has had better results with other brand of BT
    headsets?

I really wanted to use my HS850 (Motorola) with my RAZR but nobody
could ever hear me talk with Moto's headset, the boom lays up against
my cheek and prevents my voice from being picked up, so I returned it!

Currently I'm looking at the Plantronics Voyager 510. From what other
people have told me, and research I have done on the product, the
'boom' is adjustable (up/down) and it extends just ever so slightly
OUT/AWAY from ones cheek. Hopefully this will be a winner. I'm
getting really annoyed having to go from one set to the next just to
find a headset where the boom isnt laying up on my face!

I know there are other headsets without booms, but I don't like them,
they don't look like headsets without the 'boom'.

My personal favorite is the classic Sony Ericsson HBH-30.

I use the Moto H500 with my Moto E815. People on the other end can
tell no difference between talking on the headset or talking on the
phone itself. Pairing was easy, operation is easy and I still haven't
used all the different button combinations for things you can do with
the headset. It's also lightweight and will use the same charge plug
    as your Razr.

Must be an old model, it's not even listed on their website.

The H700 is due out the end of this month by Motorola... less echo, 1/3
the size... no independent reviews yet... it is the replacement for the
    HS850

Oh great, even easier to leave it in a pocket and wonder if it survives
    the spin cycle.

There shouldn' be any reason why it couldn't survive the spin cycle
since it is not in use during that time. Water is only bad when it is
    mixed with electricity, not electronics.

I've been using the HS850 for several months now with my Razr and I've had
no problems at all with it. People can hear me just fine. A little more
volume in noise areas would be nice, but other than that, it's been
    excellent.

I don't know how "off" it truly can be when it's innards are soaked
through and through immersed in warm, soapy water and agitated for ~20
minutes. Something about water causing short circuits - a Moto headset
isn't sealed. Immediately after the second event, I let it go through
the dryer to hurry things along. The figures below tell the sad tale.

    Moto units washed = 2
    Moto units survived = 0
