The earpiece and the headset are different values in the gain table
file. The bluetooth headset that I got with my phone (cell one) 3 weeks
ago has good volume although I increased it due to a couple people that
I talk to b/c they talk low. I had no choice but to increase the volume
for the earpiece b/c it was just unacceptable. I set my values to 3 I
believe. I also went ahead and increased the speakerphone volume but had
to turn the volume down on the phone b/c I increased it too much (the
speakerphone volume was at 7 anyway when I had modified the gain table).

Bottomline: It will definitely help you hear people.

Also check the handset. Along with all the plastic crap on the inside
and the screen surfaces, there's a small dot of the stuff on the
speaker... the little Motorola loga at the top of the handset.
