Please give us some info to go on - what network are you on and where abouts

What software version is on your phone?

OK - but they may have better settings.

You did give it a full charge when you took it out of the box didn't you?
You might be on the cell limit and with a poor charge it may drop calls.

Are you connecting with Bluetooth or a data cable? Did all the drivers
install properly? Are you on XP?

Sounds like the pink one which won't be a fair target.

If you cant offer us any info other than shout at us then we will be less
    inclined to help you.
Send it back and get the L7 instead.

BT works fine on the v3 - that's why it's currently the most popular
phone on earth. Either you have a defective phone or don't know how to
    use it.
You claim your phone is configured but how do you know it's configured
    properly?

There is a problem with Mobile Phone Tools and Outlook Calendar
synchronization if you have recurring appointments that started before
2000. You didn't say what sync software you are using.

Is Bluetooth working for phonebook sync? What program are you using?
If phonebook sync is working, then the issue is not phone to PC. In the
US, on Cingular, there are various logins, and the default set by Mobile
Phone Tools is the more expensive Cingular plan. I had to adjust that to
get my cheaper login to work.

If this PC is configured to use a GPRS connection on the Sony Phone, it
might not be using the proper credentials for logging in with a different
phone. What about the Sony SIM in this phone, trying to log in?

If you ship it to me, and it needs to be destroyed, I promise to pummel it
with a 12 gauge shotgun. If it works for me, I would gladly use it.

The only issue I have had with the V3 was the volume of the HS850 when
connected. Did some gain hacks on the phone and now all is good.

Re: Motorola V3 what a miserable piece of junk

I use the USB sometimes and then when I am lazy and forget where I
left the Razr I bluetooth to it and do as I wish with no problems from
either my desk machine or laptop via the MSPT 3.28 with no problems
whatsoever via XP Pro or Home. I was the one that built both my desk
machine/server and laptop though so I do not know what you have going
but you might want to check everything but the phone first. After all
if you are using some of the latest phone technology you might want to
upgrade your computer technology to ;-)

You might want to retract that about Motorola there are a lot of
electronics that use Motorola parts in a lot of different aircraft and
they seem to be doing well. Do not forget they were one of the
    forerunners for communications.

    From http://www.motorola.com/content/0,,117-282,00.html
    =============================================================
    1930
    Net sales: $287,256

Galvin Manufacturing Corporation introduces one of the first
commercially successful car radios. The original Motorola model 5T71
radio sells for between $110 and $130, and can be installed in most
    popular automobiles.

Galvin Manufacturing Corporation founder Paul V. Galvin creates the
brand name "Motorola" for the company's new car radio, linking "motor"
(motorcar, motion) with the suffix "ola" (sound).

    1936
The Motorola Police Cruiser mobile receiver, a redesigned car radio
preset to a single frequency to receive police broadcasts, is the
company's first entry into the new field of mobile radio
    communications.

    1937
Galvin Manufacturing Corporation enters the home radio business with a
line of Motorola phonographs, and table and console radios. The
company's automobile radios feature electronic push-button tuning,
    fine-tuning and tone control.

Exactly as below and they also actually used to have a lot in the
aviation side of things but the other side of the world produces
    cheaper (money wise) stuff.

    So does Motorola.
