RAZR external screen problem-- black line?


Last night I discovered the external screen on my RAZR V3 has a black
line running horizontally through the center. I'm pretty disturbed by
this, as you can imagine. I hadn't used the phone for a few days, it's
just been sitting on my desk-- it hasn't been dropped or harmed. So far
I've taken the battery out, popped it back in, charged the phone up
again, and master-reset the phone entirely. Nothing's helped. Would a
reflashing do anything? Or is this just a case of dead pixels?

If so, would Motorola's warranty cover repair for this issue?

I'd say it's a defective screen. It's rare but it happens. It should be
a warranty item if you've had it for less than a year. I'd expect that
to be covered evne if it were over year. If it's not, you can buy a
screen from www.cnn.cn. They are a very fast and good source of parts.
