Okay, everything sounds great. From what I have seen of my brother-in-law's
phone, just some of the menus are different and the way that his gain table
works is backwards from mine. It seems that maybe the software is a little
different, but that's fine. The one other noticeable item is that my phone
has two lines on it, where his doesn't even mention capability for a second
line. Is this because my phone is unlocked.
And a final question for now. I know how to flash and flex my phone with the
different software programs, but what does it mean to "use the latest RSD
v2.3 to flash" command in Motox? I downloaded the latest Monster pack to
flex my old silver phone and my new one when it gets here, but I still want
to be careful and do the right thing when I go about this. Can anyone help
on this?

Re: V3 RAZR Flexing Question
If you show the two lines then you have generic version. That may be
best as you won't have to accept menu limitations from the carrier. Make
sure you don't install a locked carrier version or you'll have to unlock
it.

Re: V3 RAZR Flexing Question
Well, that makes sense, but what does it mean to "use the latest RSD v2.3 to
flash" command on Motox? I downloaded the latest Monster pack to flex my old
silver phone and my new one when it gets here, but I still want to be
careful and do the right thing when I go about this. The new monster pack
won't even work with MultiFlashFlex. Is there some other program I need to
use instead, such as this RSD v2.3?

Re: V3 RAZR Flexing Question
I have, but have never used RSD 1.6 but I don't know where to find 2.3.
I'll see what I can find and you search too. Whoever finds it, please
post the link here.

Re: V3 RAZR Flexing Question
I've found it and uploaded it to my webspace. I haven't tried out it
yet though.

Re: V3 RAZR Flexing Question
Good work! That's a hard one to find. I just found it myself on an
Italian site yesterday.

Re: V3 RAZR Flexing Question
Yeah it is hard to find. I only found this discussion because I was
looking for it. I got it from emule in the end. I'll leave it uploaded
then as I'm sure there will be others looking for it.

Re: V3 RAZR Flexing Question
I used it and it worked great!. Thanks guys. With this I was able to load
the entire monster pack with just a few clicks and it did all the rest. No
worrying about which boxes to have checked and what have you.
Thanks again fellas.

I did my phone just now and it worked great. It's nice to have the
video camera now

Re: V3 RAZR Flexing Question
Okay, I seem to have developed a new little glitch. I noticed on my RAZR and
my wife's RAZR, ever since I flash/flexed with the newest monster pack, that
we both have the "Roaming" icon on our screens all the time. Is there some
seem edit or other patch I can do to remove this? I know that I don't have
roaming charges, but still, I don't want to take a chance with Cingular and
have them send me a bill for this. Any ideas?

Re: V3 RAZR Flexing Question
You needn't worry about getting billed for it. To turn it off you can do
a SEEM edit. Specifically, in 0032_0001, Offset 34, set bit 3 to 0.
For a list of all known SEEM edits see the map at www.xlr8.us.hofo and
print it it out. You're bound to find a bunch of stuff you'll want to
change.
Note: If you have a v3i you'll need to run RSD Lite 2.3 then use
Motokit 1.06 to do the SEEM edits (which is my program of choice
anyway). The other programs are not v3i friendly yet and even Motokit
won't let you do file backups. I spent the better part of yesterday
"discovering" this little tidbit.

Re: V3 RAZR Flexing Question
I had the same icon on my screen when I did mine but I've just noticed
that it has changed back. Wait for 2 days and see if yours does the
same thing.
