Hi all -
Because Skinner4Moto is so convoluted and lacking in graphical output, I've
decided to write my own V3 skinning app. I understand that the .ski format
is basically an ascii list of rects and IDs for bitmaps in the DAT files,
but without a lot of trial and error, it's going to be tough to figure out
what goes where.
I can quite easily examine the data files for s4m, but they really haven't
got any consistency in their naming, and quite a bit of it is just plain
wrong. Is there any concrete information as to how the ski file works, or am
I gonna have to do it by trial and error?
Also, how are the DAT files composed? GIFs translated to RAW+Palette,
Palette+RAW, straight GIF dump etc?
Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
D.
