Useing Win xp home edition, sp-2, 2.0 bus. The software installs fine.
The driver will not. The computer gives me a warning that the driver
software is not intalled properly. The portable modem does install and
is eveident in my usb, I go to "system" "hardware" then to "Device
Manager"and under "usb" it lists "motorola v3 modem". However under my
"COM" there is no "MAT USB-to Serial Bridge" or "prolific USB-TO-serial
Com Port". Can anyone help me set this software up to work with my
motorola v3. The software is made by "mobile action" and comes with a
"MA 8870" cable. Thanks for any help.

    Steelerbacker,

Did you solve this problem? I can only get my Moto Slvr L7 to connect
ot my MobileAction handset manager (MA-8870 cable also) about 1 out of
6 times. It works perfectly for transfering files between phone and PC
when it connects, but most of the time the software just will not
connect to the phone. Yes, I set my "usb connection" setting on the
phone to Data/Fax, not the memory card.
