    Hi

My v3 has suddenly started powering down, I have been told today by
two people that they both know someone with the same phone and they
    suffer the same problem.

    Anyone else in the UK?

    Cheers

    Dave

Mine is very nearly a year old and doesn't do this. The keypad
backlight has stopped working though.... :-)

Mine started doing that but only with a non-OEM battery off ebay. Since
putting the original battery back in the problem has stopped. Are you using
    an aftermarket battery?

The problem is usually caused by dirty battery contacts. Clean them
    gently with a pencil eraser.

Yup...already done that though I didn't have a problem with my last
v3, anyhow they are sending me a replacement battery so fingers
    crossed.

    Cheers
