Is there a program to convert music to "polyphonic" ringtones.
I got my v180 crushed..salvaged the sim and got a T720 for now until I
get some more bucks together. But the ringtones are crap.
I want to download some ringtones into it..I have phone tools but I
don't think it will work with this old of a phone..

    Any help will be appreciated..
And anyone who is thinking of getting a T720..I wouldn't again...It
takes and act of congress to even find the ringtones on the fone..Or
ring styles as they are refered to in the fone..

T720 vs V180 is like moped vs cadillac escalade

T720 came out 2.5 years before the V180 so yes its not up to the same
    generation.
At the time, MIDI was the best cell phones could do.

The T720 supported MIDI ringtones. That's what you are looking for.

There is no such program and probably never will be. Mp3 and wav files
are like records while a midi file is like sheet music, paper with notes
    on it.

You would need a trained musician to listen to the musik, note the pitch
of each single tone and what instruments is used. That is a task that
computers will never be able to do.

Never say Never Andreas! - at least not before running a quick Google
search. I searched for "MP3 to Midi" and got this in about 2 seconds
(one has to wonder why the OP didn't think of doing that). These folks
claim to be able to do it and will even let you try for yourself for
free! Let us know how it works.

You're right, I should have checked with Google before making my claim.
But then, I have downloaded their demo version and given it a few bits
to digest and, well, I guess I won't have to take back much of what I
said. The midi output sounds just ugly. If you're lucky you can guess
what the input file might have been, but most of the time even that
    won't work.
