I'm seeing crazy network ID behavior on a V551 after flashing to the
latest MP posted on motomodders. The Network identifier on the main
screen, says "Cingular" however, I beleive it is actually connected to
T-Mobile. It has a T-Mobile
SIM, and is unlocked. I call 411 and 611
and get T-Mobile services.
The phone was originally a locked Cingular branded V551, so I had it
unlocked, and T-Mobile
SIM worked fine. It identified T-Mobile on the
screen. I decided to use the MP:
R472_G_08.18.40R_PDS002_LP002E_DRM0001_JPJAVA_G_08 _R47_06_00_05R_SE7498BXXU10D6_1FF
as posted on motomodders to get latest firmware features and eliminate
the Cingular branding at the same time. Flashed above MP into it with
MultiFlex just fine.
Now everything works, but the screen says "Cingular" once a network is
found. (It starts off by says "No Service" like it should and when it
finds a network and registers, then it says Cingular).
Any ideas ?
