RAZR V3c phonebook broke (cannot edit, doesn't recognize incoming numbers in the phonebook)

Anyone else run into a problem where for no reason your Motorola RAZR
V3 phonebook breaks. I cannot enter any of the numbers in my phonebook
(it just kicks out of the menu when I try to select Edit, or use the
middle softkey). Also when calls come in the numbers are not picked up
from the phonebook, same with outgoing calls. But if I add a new number
to the phonebook that all works fine, and I can edit it. I don't want
to have to reenter ALL the numbers in my RAZR

This may not help but try removing the battery for 10 seconds and see if
it works better after powering up fresh.
