FYI: I took a look and the links from the phones page to the Sprint and
Verizon services failed with page not found.

Do you know what the V60i "Invalid Battery" message means? That is, what
symptom did the phone see that led it to display the message?

I will try cleaning the external contacts. If the external contacts are
dirty, why would removing and replacing the battery make the phone drop the
message?

I have had the message multiple times. It does seem to appear more when the
battery is at a low state of charge.
