    Hi,
My v66 has just started telling me that I have an invalid battery.
This is my original battery that has worked fine for the last year.
(Naturally this has happened about two weeks after the warranty
expired so Motorola have been no help whatsoever)

The Motorola support pages suggested that my phone may have dirty
contacts, but cleaning them has not helped. They also state that this
may happen with a third-party battery, but as I mentioned above, this
    is the original motorola battery.

Any other suggestions? I don't really want to shell out for a new
battery if it is a phone problem!

    Many thanks.
    Kris

    Re: v66 invalid battery

    Kris,

I have a V60i from Horizon with the original Motorola slim battery and have
the same problem. I tend to get the message when the battery is low. I can
get rid of the message by removing and replacing the battery when the phone
is on (per instructions from local Verizon store). A few times it has gone
away by itself after charging. I don't think the Verizon store people knew
    what they were talking about.

Search this NG for "V60i & invalid battery message" for a response from
    Benjamin Volk.
