You are absolutely, positively SOL. (Sh_t Out of Luck)You also will not be
able to buy a Non BMW Timeport and stick it in that install kit as well. It
has been the oldest problem in cellular. The "OL BMW, Mercedes and Jaguar
(and II believe LEXUS) Proprietary Phone Deal" They make Big Bucks for their
phones and wanna keep it that way. They have proprietary firmware and their
phones work with their own car kits and thats it. As to changing a phone
from TDMA to
CDMA or to
GSM, well you'll need GOD for that and hes booked
well into the next century. If the use of this phone is important to you, I
suggest you either find a ATT plan that works for you. If not appropriate,
you can always get a Plan on Pharos International Prepaid so at least its a
