I have a Motorola T720 phone, which was bought and got the services to
AT&T. I then upgraded this phone two weeks ago and got the new
Panasonic phone from AT&T also. Now I have this Motorola T720 phone
as my extra and my I would like to bring and give this phone to my
sister who lives at a different country.

My questions are:

1) First of all , is Motorola T720 a triband phone? Some people said
YES, it is but some said NO.

I am traveling out of the country next month to visit my sister and so
I will bring and give this s T720 to her. I then went to the same
retail store where I bought this T720 just to see there is something
that's needed to be done to make sure it can be use where I am going.
Sadly, I was told by the another service center representative of AT&T,
that it cannot be use beacuse the phone was blocked by AT&T, butif or
unless there's an AT&T network services there where I am going then it
can be activated there by my sister. Unfortunately .I think there no
AT&T there.

2)Does that mean, this phone cannot be use at all and is a waste??

I am so upset upon hearing that answer from AT&T Retailer, so
what I did two days ago I called AT&T Customer Service and told them
about my problem, and asked them if they can somehow take the blocking
out of my phone and give it an open line. I told them my situation and
my plan of giving this extra phone to my sister.

I was so happy for I was told me they "CAN" do that. I was also
told it was done but give it 24 hours and my sister can use the phone
already.
24 hrs passed , I then tried to borrow my friend prepaid Sim card from
cingular and inserted it, just to verify if my T720 Motorola was
already unblock or to make sure that AT&T really have done it, but the
phone comes up with the message,
ENTER SUBSIDY PASSWORD:_______
3)Does it mean that they havent done the unblocking.
4)Is this password to unlock a certain network or ...
5)is this a password coming from this cingular SIM that I inserted?
6)Is there some way you can provide me the subsidy code?

Sorry for the long questions, just want to make sure I made my question
clear for I am desparate to get an honest answer.
