I have an older RAZR V3 and use motorola phone tools to load pic, sounds
    etc onto my phone.

Wht is the best program to use to install browsers, games etc? I have
Midway 2.8 but have not installed it as yet. Will this work to install what
I need or is there something else? Thank you.

Use Bluetooth, it's faster and easier. See my tutorial at

You'll also need to be sure that the Java Uploader is turned on (if not
you can do a SEEM edit to turn it on). You'll also need JADMaker to make
the .jad files (done in the phone if Bluetooth is used).

I would rather not use bluetooth and just use a program. Which program
should I install on my computer? Midway 2.8 or ? All I want to do is to
be able to install updates from motox etc. TIA

Midway is only for uploading Java apps - not for flashing or flexing.
You really need to read up on this before you do anything else or you
could damage the phone. Start with these articles:
