Pre-Sales Question on Motorola RAZR V3m from Verizon

I've yet to have a pleasant experience in a VZW store, so let me ask my
questions here. OUT OF BOX, what can I do with the USB port. Assuming
that I have or can buy a generic USB cable. From what I've seen here, I
can:
* Upload pictures to use as wallpaper if they are of a certain resolution?
* Upload MP3s to play? As ringtones?
* Can I back up my contacts to my PC - or do I need a Kit from VZW or
someone else?
* I've heard of issues with keypads on older RAZR phones (a friend
cannot dial '9') Is that true? Have they gotten better?
* what does the charger look like? Is it just an AC Adapter at one end
and a USB connector at the other - or is there a cradle to drop (or
snap?) it in?

Thank you in advance

VZW has disabled some of the V3's features so check in at www.motox.info for
details on that.
You'll need a copy of Mobile Phone Tools to do your backup and other
transfers.
The charger plugs into the wall and the USB connector plugs into the side of
the phone. Thee is no cradle.

So what VZW takes out, I can *relatively* easily download a replacement
for?

Take a look at the Motox site (www.motox.info) to see what needs to be done.
Since I don't use VZW I haven't kept up on the details.

If you have a copy of Motorola Phone Tools and a USB cable (or a Bluetooth
dongle) you can transfer/sync contacts and calendar events between the phone
and computer. Everything else is blocked. The easiest way to unblock most
of the phone's capabilities is to use the "Bonus CD" from www.cellcables.com
You can get a cable from them also (or from Ebay for less). Hope this
helps.
