new verizon razr vm3 owner needs help...

Just renewed my Verizon contract and got a new Motorola RAZR VM3 phone.
Looks pretty slick but I can't seems to get my WinXP PC to recognize it
when I connect via USB. I get the New Hardware Found wizard, but I
don't seem to have any drivers.

I've searched the web and found tons of "mod" pages and installed the
P2KDrivers2.9.zip but I still get an unrecognized hardware error. I
need some help with some basic questions:
1. Is it possible (__EASY__ for a newbie) to "mod" the phone so I can
create my own custom ring tones, play MP3, sync the calendar, etc.
2. Where can I find _simple_ step-by-step procedures? Remember, I'm a
newbie -- this is my first color phone! :-)

Tx

Youll need a copy of Mobile Phone Tools. Check ebay. P2K drivers are for
modding software. See www.motox.info.

Tx for the reply. Is this something extra, or should it have come with
the phone? I don't see it on the CD that I got from Verizon. The
Motorola site
(http://motorola.handango.com/enterta...409&catalog=50)
says that the MPT won't wont work with Verizon-branded phones?

I did find the USB drivers (so I can now charge the phone with my PC).
:-)

I also don't see a way to copy pictures that I've taken, from my phone
to my PC...

Still stuck....

No -- it's an extra cost accessory. Try shopoem.com
