I have had many non-clam shell (Sony Eriksson & Nokia) cell phones over
the years and they have all had a setting that locked the keyboard after a
set period of time (i.e., 10, 20 or 30 seconds). I just bought my
mother-in-law an el cheapo moto (like $20) phone and it has a setting that
locks the keyboard after a set period of time.
However, the pink SLVR7 I bought for my wife does not seem to have this
type of setting. It appears the only way to lock the keyboard is menu and
*.
Have I missed something in the manual? Is there some way to have the
keyboard auto-lock after a set period of time, without doing a
modification to the software?
Thank-you in advance,
The Weasel

Re: SLVR 7 Automatic Keyboard Lock
The only way that you can keep the phone locked, is to use the method
you are describing. When she receives a call she does not have to
unlock it to answer it. Go ahead and answer the call and when she hangs
up it will default into auto lock. But there is not a setting to have
the phone auto-lock the keypad after a certain number of seconds.

Have a good one.
