Razr3 to Sony Ericson HCB-30 Handsfree Bluetooth

Hi,

My wife had a Sony Ericson HCB-30 Handfree kit fitted to her car last year.
It paired very reliably with her previous Motorola a clam shell type (Sorry
can't access model number). When she entered the car they would pair
automatically without any input from her and she could successfully use the
hands free kit.

I have followed all instructions to the best of my ability, reset the
Handsfree etc. and successfully gone through the pairing routine with the
Razr and it initially pairs as expected. When the phone is taken out of the
car it refuses to pair automatically with the
handsfree kit when reintroduced without doing it manually. I am not saying
we have to go through the full routine but we do have to go into the
bluetooth menu on the phone and tell the phone to pair.

The HF kit pairs with the old motorola and my Nokia 6810 without problem.

Am I doing something wrong? missing an option in the phone menu etc.
The phone is set to connect automatically with the HF kit. It is not asking
for any password other than when I reset and pair from scratch.

Does anyone else have experience of this?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

David

Not saying this is right, but I used to have a SE P910i, and SE BT
Headset - and the phone kept dropping the BT connection - I suspect
that its SEs bad implementation of BT IMHO.

I doubt that -- my Sony Ericsson HBH-30 BT headsets have worked
flawlessly with my Motorola V551.
