Verizon Service - Motorola W315 Phone -- Question about Speaker Phone

Is there any way to DISABLE the speakerphone button?


My parents and an aunt all got one of these phones at the same time. It's a
great phone, easy for them to see the keys, etc. But there is one problem
that keeps plaguing all three of them: It gets into speaker phone mode.

There is a button on the left side that, when held in for 2 seconds or so,
puts it into speakerphone mode.

Sure, turning it off it easy --- just hold that same button in for another 2
seconds.

Problem is, it only happens once per week or so. And when it happens they
are already on a call with someone. They are older & not tech-savvy. And
trying to remember which button it is while having the confusion of this
suddenly LOUD converstion to carry on seems to be too much.

Anyway -- I'd like to be able to disable the speaker phone button.

Or some other great idea to help solve this?
