I was able to get my ringtones to the ringtone folder on the phone

When I previewed them .. they would play fine

    but .

They would NOT work when the phoen rang ..

    UPDATE !!!

I found that if I renamed them the same name as the ringtones
on the phone that did work .. that .. my ringtones worked ..

    in other words ..

If I replaced the verizon doorbell.mp3 ringtone with
    houseofrisingson.mp3 renamed doorbell.mp3 ...
when the phone rang ... it worked ..

apparently .. even though we erased ringtones.db (or whatever it was )
there must be another database with the legit ringtone names
we are not aware of. (yes this is speculation .. )

    hope this helps someone

Mike, how did you get in to the Krzr? I can't get MPT to recognize it.
Where did you find a driver? It is Verizon if that helps.

    TIA,

nope ..nothing to do with it .. I tried very short names .. both
    mp3 & mid .. like I said .. they play on the preview .. but ..
not when the phone rang .. (rememeber .. this is the Krzr)

ok .. due to someone else's hard work ... they figured out that you
have to run "Motorola Software Update" .. Which WILL see the phone ..
then with that still up .. you run P2k-commander and it does the
same things as the MPT does.

the original instructions .. said to delete the file in the
ringtone fold called ringtone.db .. (or something similar)

this allowed YOUR ringtones to show up there .. but .. I had to
do what I descriped to get them to work
(rename them the same name as "working" ringtones)

and another Krzr user noted that the people specific rings dont work
either .. and I concur .. with that .. working on that now.
