V6 MAXX no longer sends txt messages

My V6 MAXX no longer sends text messages - it fails to send them. Orange
UK sent a SIM update to it and I "read" that and rebooted the phone but
the problem still exists. It can receive messages and the service number
is correct.

The problem first appeared when I was roaming and I had also tried a
couple of non-orange SIM cards in the handset (but it is locked to Orange)

Any ideas?

Hey Derek,

Have you had any luck with this issue? I'm having the same problem; I'm
in the US using T-Mobile. I have found that when I try to send an SMS
it always fails .... BUT, if I access my outbox while a call is active
and try resending, it goes through every time. No idea why. Out of
curiosity, in your text message setup area, do you have a "use gprs"
option? I've been told that setting that to OFF will fix the problem,
but my Maxx doesn't have that setting for some reason.
