Please excuse me for barging in. I'm a new user for the Razr and would like
to use some files from my computer to my phone. Nothing major, just a few
short sounds to use as ringtones. I always want to be able to get the
pictures I take with my camera to my computer for editing.

Unfortunately, apparently, I am a Verizon customer. Don't get me wrong, I
love the phone coverage and service, but no one told me when I signed up
that certain capabilites of the phone were disabled, forcing you to use
V-Cast. That would be fine, except I was ALSO not told that I live in an
area with no V-Cast service. I'm sure it was in the small print somewhere,
    but there you are.

My son has ordered me a data cable and software for mother's day and I am
fairly technilogically savy. I guess what I want to know is what I CAN do
with thing. Am I simply SOL?

    Thank you for your time.

    Rach

Of course not, you can enable all the features that are currently
    disabled.

    Spend some time reading here:

    http://www.howardforums.com/

Go to the Verizon forums, then to the Motorola forums.

You can read all you want w/o registering, you must register to ask
questions or use the search feature but all they as is a user name (can
be made up) and a valid email accound (can be a throwaway like Yahoo or
    Hotmail.)

I've a Motorola E815 with NO disabled features, took me very little
time, effort or ability to mod the phone, all I did was read and follow
instructions and if I can do it, anyone can! ;-)

    Good luck!

Oh, by the way, there's absolutely nothing illegal or questionable
about modding a phone, you bought it, it's yours, you can do anything
    you want with it!
