Isn't it something like 2# SEND for speed dialling on Motorola? (Apart
from button 1 of course which is voicemail).

I initially had the same problem with my Krazr K1.
Somewhere in the menus, I stumbled over and/or changed a setting that
had defaulted to using phone memory rather than the SIM card for
these maybe?
Sorry I can't remember exactly what, but that's what you're looking
for. :-)
I can say I've got my address book to View>SIM card only. I have
Speed Dial: phone memory in that Initial Setup menu. Finally, while
in an addressbook entry, the options menu where manage contacts has a
"speed dial" function where you can assign them.
Somewhere in there you should be able to get it working for ya.

Are you holding the key down long enough for it to activate. I have
several numbers set up as speed-dial numbers, and I only need to hold
the button down for a couple of seconds. Works exactly like my V551
and V557. This KRZR is on AT&T/Cingular.

Thanks for the advice, Todd. I've just spent nearly an hour going
through the all menus, reading the manual and tinkering with it, but I
still can't get it to work. I think I may have a dud.
Cheers anyway!
