I have been trying to connect the V3xx to Motorola Phone tools via
bluetooth. When I get to the part that enters the randomly generated PIN,
the connection fails. It stays the PIN is invalid. I used the pin displayed
in the window. I even tried 0000 but get the same error.

I think you already paired the phone before MPT, and MPT is trying to pair
with it's own PIN.
Go to the phone, options, use bluetooth, device history, highlight the
computer, and options-delete.
On the computer, if you have a "my bluetooth places", highlight the phone
and click "remove pairing" in the left panel.
Try MPT again. I presume you have version 4.0.5c (I think that's the
version I have).
