v3xx music -- no sound

Looking for an answer and haven't found one yet... My v3xx speaker
plays dial tones and callers voices, but music and ringtone previews
don't play. I've tried adjusting various settings, but although I can
see the music player timer advancing, no sound.

Any ideas?

Take it back to the store and ask them to get it to work.
