moto Q email downloading SENT messages??

Basically, I've setup my Q to POP my email through my gmail account.
It works fine, but downloads gmails SENT MESSAGES as well. I haven't
found a way to implement rules in the Q to discard these messages, or
to shut off the downloading of them. Any pointers?
