In Europe the StarTAC works with all 900Mhz networks (e.g. Vodafone).
In contrast to current phones the StarTAC requires a large credit card
size sim card. Vodafone sells these type of holders rather cheap.

Be very careful with your new phone. The GSM StarTacs are prone to
cracking at the bottom corners at the edges of the card slot.
Actually,, I think you'd have been just as well off with a regular v3.
Same footprint, better reception, better screen, email/internet access.
You can ignore the camera - until you need to snap a shot of that
fenderbender. The cost for a v3 is between $0 and $30 now - half what
you paid.
