My antenna will hardly work on my Motorola V557

I have a motorola v557 and I have the original antenna and I unscrewed it
and then when I tried to screw it back it in it just kept turning and
turning and won't screw back in.I have to hold it down when I want to call
someone since the signall is so bad I can hardly call people or recieve
calls.I was thinking I might need a new antenna base or that little gray
plastic piece that the antenna screws on to.I am probably wrong but maybe
not. Please help as this is very annoying and I am hardly able to call
anybody.

Thanks in advance,Kramertheman

Re: My antenna will hardly work on my Motorola V557

on the inside of the phone is a 'socket' that the antenna screws into. It
sounds like it is either stripped or to lose that you cant screw it back in.
I do not know any place that repairs phones anymore. Look into upgrading
your phone, get a new one with a 2yr contract. If you dont want a contract
look on ebay for a used phone. Be sure to read the details so you dont get
ripped off. I shop ebay all the time and LOVE the cheap prices.

Try www.cnn.cn. They have a wide selection of parts and provide
excellent service.
