Can I use an unlocked V3 on Tracfone?

Hi,

Just starting out - - got a Motorola C139 on Tracfone for 80 minutes and 150
days - - if I get an unlocked V3 on Ebay and use my SIM card from the C139
in it, will it work? What are the risks, if any? Thanks.

No. You have to buy a Tracfone-branded phone with Tracfone firmware and
you have to activate a new Tracfone-brand SIM *in that specific phone.*
If you can go throught those hoops, you're golden.

I thought it sounded too easy to be true Gotta figure out another way to get
a prepaid V3, I guess.

You could get a TMobile V3, buy a prepaid TMobile sim card and then buy as
many minutes as needed. Did that with an old phone for my Wife as she did
not want the monthly payment for a service she would rarely use.

Also look into the 7-11 Speakout plans. They are similar to T-mobile's.
