#1 | | Guest | I just bought a RAZR V3 and I am having trouble syncing it with my ThinkPad
running Vista Business 64 bit. I have the phone set up as a Bluetooth device
and I have used the Bluetooth file transfer wizard to send over some pics to
use as wallpaper. However, I have not been able to figure out how to
transfer my Windows Contacts. I also have Outlook 2007 and could transfer
contacts from there too. Any help would be appreciated.

The RAZR V3 has several variants; e.g. V3c, V3m, etc. It MAY make a
difference; I don't know for sure but it would be good to specify
EXACTLY what you have.
What software are you using? Motorola Phone Tools? Or something else?
If you have a Verizon Wireless version of the RAZR, you may have to hack
it to re-enable features like file transfer.

As far as I know, its just a V3. I have no software other than what built
into Vista. AT&T is my carrier.

Look underneath the battery! You'll find the exact model there as well
as serial number and other stuff.
You will need software such as Motorola Phone Tools to transfer your
contacts from your computer to your phone. Without such software you
can only enter your contacts using the phone's keypad. It's *possible*
to do it that way but there is no way I'd call it "easy" or even attempt
it if there were any other way.

Shouldn't the V3 read .vcf files? If so, then he sould be able to send
the contacts directly from outlook via bluetooth.

Or running dozens of application with the usual number of peripherals
and encountering no problems at all. But I RTFM and did the homework.
I'm sorry you're too stupid to run Vista but that's your problem, don't
take it out on others.

Not even. If you think that Vista is the greatest thing ever, you're
