Could be, so change it. If you did the reading and understood it, you
know how but, somehow I really doubt that you are able to do so.

You've been helped, your question has been answered more than once but
rather than figure out what you're doing wrong and fix it (YES, YOU
*DO* HAVE THE ANSWERS YOU NEED), you prefer to come here, whine about
your problems and criticize the help others have given you as being
    insufficient.

I have little patience with ignorant idiots, I hope that explains the
    rudeness you so cleverly detected?

Back into my kill file with you, I should have known a Google Grouper
    was beyond any help....

It works perfectly with current hardware.

Nothing, the directions will work and have worked for me and for
others, just not for you and the Google Grouper.

MSU works only with very limited software and hardware. If you're
running a current 64 bit computer and a current 64 bit OS, MSU will not
install, PST does install and does work exactly as claimed.

That's strange. I looked closer at the hacktherazr site and found
that the software that they wanted you to use:
    http://www.hacktherazr.com/app/hackt...-Installer.zip
was just their zipped version of Motorola_Software_Update. So, if the
MSU that you get directly from Motorola is not 64-bit O.S. compliant,
neither would be the software from hacktherazr as they are identical.

P.S. For those who may be having problems with the software & driver
install --> make sure that the USB port you are plugging into is ver
2.0. It may not work otherwise.

P.P.S. If all drivers do not install automatically, you need to
unpack the actual MSU and install them directly.

Correct, thus the necessity of using PST. I have an old obsolete
laptop with an old obsolete version of Windows XP and tried using MSU,
honestly, on both XP and Vista 64, PST works better for me.

Also, I haven't tried this but I've been told you can't use a hub, the
phone must be connected directly to one of the PC's USB ports.

But, PST, being much older and being made by Qualcomm, does not have
the correct drivers for the newer phones. MSU, being newer and made
by Motorola, does. BTW, I checked and the version of MSU off of
Hacktherazr is from 04/07; the newest from Motorola is 12/07. Before
you can talk to your phone via PST or any other program, you need to
    have the correct drivers.

    Sounds right.

Neither has current drivers but current drivers for PST are available
for free from Motorola, there is no current driver that will allow MSU
to run on a current (64 bit) OS or if there is, I haven't found it....

Forgot to add that MPT doesn't have current drivers, either.

    I have a Motorola Razr V3xx with a 2gb mem card ( Micro ) on ATT.

    1. 2 gb according to Motorola, so 2gb is ok.

    2. a. In camera mode press ( Options )
    b. Move to Switch Storage device ( made sure that mem card is selected.)
This will save all pictures to the memory card.
    c. TRANSFER SETUP
    1. Go to main menu.
    2. Move down to and select ( Connection ).
    3. Move to and select ( USB).
    4. If default is memory card you are good to go. If it is not memory
card, click Change and select memory card.

    3. Yes, I use one of several that I had on hand and they work very well.

Now we can start on the computer side of the transfer.
    a. Click on My Computer, take note of all drives listed.
    b. Connect phone to computer, and look for a new removable media drive (
this will be the phone as it is what the computer calls it)( if a dialog
box opens, select view files or take no actions).

    c. The root folder is Mobil (open it), select Pictures folder (open it ) and
you will see your picture files.
    d. Push CTRL + A to select all files
    e. Right click on any of the selected files and click Copy.
    f. Go to My Documents\ My Pictures and create new folder for your pictures.
    g. Open the new folder, right click and select paste ( you will see the
    files from your phone )

    TRANSFER COMPLETED

    CLEAN UP
    a. Go back to the files on the phone and delete the ones( FILES ONLY AND NOT
THE FOLDER) that you do not want to keep on the phone.

    Your Done.
