Working With Low Signal Strength 755 vs. 385 vs. LG

Currently, I have an LG 8300 and my wife has an LG 5200. Our house is in an
area with poor signal strength for the cell phones...my wife can't get
signal in the house and my reception is spotty. Her #1 need is to be able to
use her phone reliably in our house. A couple people who seem to be up on
cell phones have suggested Motorola W755, and one suggested also looking at
the W385. That 385 seems a little long...I guess my wife's #2 need is to be
able to comfortable carry the phone in a small pocket or easily on a belt
clip. She doesn't use the camera on her 5200 and she doesn't text, so those
things don't count for much.

Does anybody have any input on the phones' ability to pick up calls with low
signal strength? I'd like to avoid the trail and error method where you buy
a phone and bring it back if it's not exactly what you want. Is there an LG
phone that can dig out a weak signal ?

Thanks a bunch.

I think you need to find (even though Verizon is best overall) a carrier
who can provide a good signal where it is most important for you.

I have found that the Motorola V9m has the best reception in low signal
areas of any non-external-antenna phone I have tried.

Same experience here with mine.

Unfortunately, with VZW's "shovel new phones at them every 6 months" policy,
I had to get one off eBay for the wife when her e815 recently died.

She loves it.
