Dual Band 7860 can it be upgraded to tri-band?

I would like to know if an older Startac dual band can be upgraded by verizon
to a tri-band. When services went to the America's Choice plan I was told that
my dual band woul dnot work with it and was sold a v 60i. I do not know if i
was smoked or what and the v60i has worked well, it is just that i miss my
startac and would like to know if somehow i can have them upgrade it. I am not
looking for a freebie either.

no, a dual band cannot be upgraded to a tri.
if you check around, you may find a startac triband 7868 for sale, as they
were quite common.
cheers
