I am in the UK and have a Motorola T720i. I was wondering what I need to
transfer midi files and wallpapers from my computer PC to my phone. Can
someone tell me what I need? Also where in the UK can I purchase a USB cable
to connect from PC to phone? Where does the cable connect to the phone? I
ask as on a Nokia I used to have it connected inside so I had to take the
phone apart.
Any information you can give me will be gratefully received.
Thanks

Re: Cable for T720i
umm.. i have a T722i.. so i dont know if it'll work. what you need is
internet service on your phone. you also need some place (geocities
seems to work fine for me) to upload the midi files and graphics. i'm
not sure if its like this for your phone but the graphics can be no
larger than 120x160.. you might also want to truncate the midis.. after
you have everything, your graphics and midis.. upload them. then..
while online on your phone, go to "go to url" and then type in the link
of the file you uploaded (one by one, of course) .. and.. wait for your
phone to DL it.. store it and that's it! hope it works for you..

Hi, UK with a T720i here too.
I nearly went and bought a cable, for transferring pics to a PC, but found
out that you cannot transfer pics via USB cable.
I therefore suspect you might not be able to transfer midi or wallpaper
files via the lead either, which makes it a pretty useless proposition.
Apparently it is used for syncing your address book and diary - apparently
but I stand to be corrected on that one.
This is the one big bug in the T720 for me, no connectivity. You can take
pretty pics, but can only MMS or e-mail them.
Roll on the V600 with its bluetooth connection, but I bet you wont be able
to transfer certain stuff via the BT link.

I stand corrected, thanks for clarification ukash, but I think I will still
hold fire on buying a cable. Pics would have been the most useful app.

Re: Cable for T720i
Depending on what do you use... I actually uses PST and it works just
fine...
Use the information here http://www.beavermjr.com/t720/PST_faq.htm
and download the softwares here http://kenetics.netfirms.com/uploadfaq.htm
If you're apt with usual computer applications, you won't have problem with
it...
