Re: T720 Charging Problems--Anybody Else?
I have found that sometimes it helps to do 1 of 2 things:
1) Plug the connector into the phone BEFORE plugging the adapter into the
wall.
2) Remove the battery, Plug the phone in, and replace the battery.

Thanks for that. Of course it still might be the battery, but I do not
think so. Once it starts charging, the battery works fine. This
doesn't rule the battery out, but my gut feeling tells me it's not
that. But I may try using my friends battery and see if it charges
with that. Thanks for your suggestion. :-)

Re: T720 Charging Problems--Anybody Else?
Got in to this discussion late but on my T720 I had a charging problem and
it was caused by bend pins inside the phone where the charger connects.
Venison exchanged phone and all works fine now.

I would take it back and have it replaced as this sounds like a
defective charging connector on the phone.

I had the same exact problem... The tech said I probably wore out the
charging connector on the phone because I use it in the car all the time
still plugged into the car charger. He cleaned the contacts on the
phone with a dental tool... that helped a little bit... took it back and
he opened the phone and soldiered the connector... worked even better
but wasn't perfect... talked manager into giving me a brand new phone...
got a leather pouch for it cause it was so pretty compared to my other
phone with beer stains and dents from dropping at last call...

Re: T720 Charging Problems--Anybody Else?
My solution is to that when you put the plug in your phone, you pull the
plug up... hold the phone horizontal though,,, usely it immediatly
charges... when you let go of the plug it sometimes will stop again, my
solution to that is to let the plug rest on a book or something so that the
weight of the phone holds the plug up
