#1 | | Guest | Love my T720 ( GSM). But I have only one problem...and it's major
annoying.
When I plug it in to charge, it sometimes requires that I plug and
unplug the connector in about 10 or 20 times before it will start
charging. It either says "Unable to charge," or it just doesn't do
anything at all.
Usually, after sometimes a couple of dozen trys, I can finally get it
to charge. Sometimes it charges on the first try.
Anyone else have this problem...or better yet a solution?!!
Thank you so much :-)

Mine sometimes does not start charging when I plug it in.
However, if I open the phone, then the charging starts and it can be closed
again.
Maybe yours will do the same ?

I know what you mean. Sometimes that seems to help. But right at
this moment, I can't get it to charge no matter what I do. I have
been trying for an hour. It just won't start charging. Once it
started, then got the message "unable to charge"
It's done this since it was new, so I don't think it's the battery.

Ooops, I have never had that message on mine, although it does take some
time to decide if it feels like charging or not.
I would take it back if I were you.
Either that or wait a few more weeks then take it back and demand they
replace it with a V600 :-) (Well it's worth a try).

Interesting thought...I have had this phone for about 4 or 5 months.
It's not perfect (I agree the vibration is weak and the ringer pretty
quiet) but it is still a very cool phone. And mine has been tough.
Dropped it a few times without a scratch and worked just fine.
Since I got the T720 I have not researched phones very much. I don't
know anything about the V600, but I remember talk about it some time
ago. I'll look it up out of curiosity, but I'd say the chance of a
straight trade is pretty slim (like you said). My friend traded in
her bad T720 (which accidentally fell in the toilet! but still worked
MOSTLY fine). They gave her a refurbished T720 to replace it. I
assume that is what I would get.

#12 | | Guest | If the connector is like most Mots, check on the end of the connector
on the charger, specifically the 4 tiny gold pins. I remember seeing
one that wouldn't charge, and the spring connection on the pins was
weak, and one of the pins was not pulled out far enough and
connecting. If you wiggled the phone, it would work sometimes,
and so my friend thought it was the phone. She returned it and
the same thing happened. I took a look at it, and saw what the
problem was, had her return the wall charger and she hasn't
had any problem since.
Probably not the same problem you are having, but it might help
someone else
