Data connectivity kit

I have 2 StarTAC ST7868W phones. I'd like to transfer the phone book from
one to the other. I realize I have to load from the 1st phone onto my pc and
then download to the 2nd phone. Will this procedure erase the entries from
the 1st phone? I realize I need a cable and software. It appears the item
number is: 98193 however; I've come across a SYN7464 also. Is the 98193 the
cable and the software whereas the the SYN7464 the cable only? Thanks
