Hey all,
Well, I did it. After bumbling my way through this whole learning
process, I managed to ruin one of my two old P280's. It simply won't
power up. I tried leaving the battery out to reset something, but no
go.
The C332 has a sub-keypad reset button that saved my bacon once, but
the P280 appears to have nothing. I tried opening the case, but the
screws are special star-type and must have been glued with the
permanent locktite.
I did read about shorting pins 13 and 14 on the T720 to enable some
bootstrap code, but the P280 has 3+14=17 pins in it's connection port.
I tried some pin combos but don't know if I'm making a good
connection.
So, any hope? Any pins to short? At least I'm only out a $40 phone. I
wouldn't screw around with a $200 phone. But in this case, the random
reboots and power offs made the phone useless anyway.
Thanks, Doug
